Secure Your Flash Drives and Local drives Using Encryption

Create Password Protected Encrypted USB and Volumes

Information is the need of the Gold of the future generation. People who would have information would be richer in future. So to protect and Secure your Future, you need to Secure Information that's important for you . 

This post would help you secure your Personal Information on your computer from unauthorized access.





You can Secure you Account by simply installing an Encryption Software known as True Crypt

The Post is divided into 2 parts:

1. Installation of True Crypt

2. Using True Crypt to Secure Files



1. Installation of True Crypt


Just follow the simple steps to install True Crypt

1: Download True Crypt Setup Here.

2. Double Click on the setup file and you would see a pop as :

Just Accept the Licence agreement and hit Next> .

3. True Crypt Wizard mode will come next. Just select Install And hit Next.

4. True Crypt setup options would open up. Just click on install.


Click Finish. Now you would have True Crypt successfully installed on your PC.

Now you would see an icon of True crypt on the desktop as


2. Using True Crypt to Secure Files

Follow the Simple steps to create encrypted Volumes inside Any Drive (including Usb Drives).

1. Start True Crypt By Clicking on the Icon at desktop and click on Create Volume.

2.  Select Create an Encrypted File Container and Hit Next.

3. Select Create a Standard True Crypt Volume and Hit Next.

4. Select the Location of the Encrypted Volume, Name the Volume and Hit Save. ( I am Creating an Encrypted Volume in my USB drive/Pendrive in this Example).

5. Select the Encryption Type and Hit Next. 
(Keep it Default if you don't know about different Encryption Types)
Select the Encryption Algorithm in True Crypt


6. Select Volume Size For Encryption and hit Next. Here i am encrypting 1 GB of space from a total of 1.12 GB Free space in my USB Drive.

7. Create and enter a Password for the Encrypted volume. And hit Next.

8. Move the Move Randomly to Create a better Encryption, Select the File system for the Encrypted Drive( I would Prefer you NTFS ), and hit Format.

Select the File Type for the Encrypted Volume

9. After the Format Completes Successfully, Hit OK.

10. Hit Exit to Complete the Encryption Process.

To view the Encrypted Volume and to Save or Read Files from It, you have to Mount the Volume using True Crypt. 
Just Open True Crypt. Select Mount>> Locate the Encrypted Volume>> And Enter your Password.

Done!!
That's it, You just Created your Personal Encrypted Password Protected Volume.
